can fully trust your Staffy without being afraid of a sudden
burst of aggression. Finally, a dog has a lower height, but it
looks like a small tank.
In one word, Staffy is a dog without special problems while its larger fellows demand strict control under the dog`s behaviour and more experience for owning such a dog.

If you have a male and a bitch it`s nearly 100% that they will get on and stand well with each other. There is the only problem - bitche`s heat period. Males get on together seldom though there are also an exceptions. However, this question is also concerns other dog breeds. Bitches live together in peace more often, but a lot of things depend also on dogs` character and your experience.

MAY I ADOPT STAFFY IF I ALREADY HAVE A DOG OF
OTHER BREED?
It`s possible. But if there is a wide age gap between dogs and they belongs to similar or related dog breeds (eg. Rottweiler and Staffy). These aspects are of great importance. Wide age gap and lagre difference in dog sizes are likelihood as a rule. If any of dogs is not the hopeless fighter, will get on quite well.
WILL STAFFI GET ON WITH MY CHILDREN?
You bet! However, if the child can hardly walk, it is better to
wait while your baby will grow up a little. Small puppy of any
dog breed can`t control its force, and then you get crying and
scratched children, scared puppy... How long you will have
enough patience? Besides, you can explain your grown-up children
what is permitted and forbidden to do with a puppy. The main
thing is to love your Staffy and to have at least a small stock
of patience. Staffordshire puppy grows up quickly and becomes
much more calm with age, children also grow up, and Staffy will
become a cheerful and devoted friend for them.

WE BOTH WORK, CAN WE ADOPT A STAFFY PUPPY?
There is no a
definite answer. It`s all according your work schedule. It is
extremely undesirable to leave a little Staffy for the whole day
alone. Staffy puppy is very active and pushful, and when it`s
stay alone for a long time one puppy is not above to make hay of
your apartment with boredom. If you want to buy a strongly then
it is better to try to find the adult Staffy, the adult dog
being asleep most of the time and will easily adapt its sleeping
way of life for your work schedule. But it`s not so easy to find
the adult Staffy difficult as they are given in quite seldom.
MY WIFE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDS AGAINST STAFFORD
ADOPTION, SHOULD I INSIST?
It`s useless of trying to get a Staffy puppy in such case. If someone in your family is against Staffy, it`s better to buy a dog of other breed, that`ll be acceptable for everyone. In case your wife strongly recommends against any dog in the house, it`s not worth banging the table with fist for bringing a puppy in the house. Your wife will dog the bulk of the Stafford care. WHETHER STAFFY NEEDS A HARD LOADINGS OR NOT?
It depends on what you mean by a hard loadings. If active walks, then, by no means, your Staffy needs such a loadings. Swimming is also good if your Staffy likes to swim. If you have purebred Stuffy then it`s nonsense to use special dog harnesses and collars with clogs as it will gain its weight and strength over time. All that you need is to feed properly and to walk with your Staffy. If your puppy doesn`t gain its weight with time, then clogs are a beyond remedy. Besides, heavy weight increase can lead to negative results.
WHAT DOCUMENTS I HAVE TO RECEIVE ON PURCHASE
A STAFFY PUPPY?
When you get a puppy in one of AKC kennel clubs, you receive a puppy card with a nickname of your Staffy, its origin and birthdate, personal brand - three letters and number, and club details. Pet passport with State Animal Health Office marks of vaccination if a puppy is vaccinated in age. If Staffordshire for sale is bought under certain conditions (f.e. by instalments, for puppy breeding etc.), then it is desirable to lay down conditions and responsibilities for parties in order to avoid future problems (AKC has a special forms of lease and joint possession agreement). In any case, if Staffy puppy is adopted on terms, don't be offended if Staffordshire breeder gives you a pedigree only after a final paycheck.
And if Staffy is taken out abroad, you should
have AKC pet travel certificate, a veterinary certificate and
a vet passport. And it is a question of your personal
agreements with a breeder whether you have a
puppy card or an export pedigree - there are
no severe rules on this point.

Any Staffordshire breeder with a good repute will surely do
what he can.

I HAVE GUARANTEES?
It depends on what you want to get guarantees. An ordinary Staffordshire breeder can guarantee you a pureness of the breed and conformity with a standard according to the dog age (f.e. Staffy puppy and grown-up Stafford have different number of teeth, small puppy has much less teeth). Nobody can guarantee you a future health or absolute formation of a puppy. Of course, there exist a special feature set, that will help you to choose a Staffy puppy and judge of a supposed quality of an adult Stafford, but mistakes are also possible.
And if the breeder swears to you that this Staffy puppy will surely become a super star of every dog show or ring and the leading male of breeding even with its undershot, then don`t buy a puppy from such a breeder as he is either a crook or mad.
So, when you buy a puppy its seller guarantees you that Staffy has a correct bite, number of teeth appropriates its age, it is healthy, vaccinated accordint its age, has no worms; besides, puppy has an appropriate documents and Staffy droppings are registered in AKC.

CAN MAKE CLAIMS TO THE BREEDER?
That`s show business in general. Choosing a puppy is a mix of experience, skills and good luck, many of Staffy fans think that they have a grip on choosing a purebred puppy, but only a few of them are really able to do it. Many of purebred champions were sold as pets and many of magnificent purebred puppies became pets.
As for claims, it`s not worth getting excited as no one makes claims to his wife that his son is not Schwarzenegger or Einstein. Any Staffordshire breeder can't be responsible for puppy formation and, unfortunately, sometimes a promising puppy grows up and turns into a usual Stafford. And you was given a promise that you will surely grow up a champion - it`s your own decision whether to believe this doubtful words or not.
All aforesaid doesn't concern those cases when you got a cull puppy (with abnormal bite, a vicious colour, etc.). Sometimes the factory owner hasn't enough experience to estimate prospects of a puppy. Therefore it is better to collect a maximum of information on a dung from which you are going to take a puppy, to look at parents.
Also keep in mind that 75% of quality of a puppy from a bough, instead of as not from a dog therefore the best puppies are born from very qualitative mothers.
IS VISIT OF
EXHIBITIONS OBLIGATORY?
Not necessarily, but if you want to receive a family tree on the dog, most likely, at least one should be visited. In the majority of seriously working clubs, without the description of the expert of RKF or FCI received at an exhibition, a family tree you will be not given out. Be not afraid, it isn't terrible, but also, suddenly it will be pleasant to you.
